Late Wednesday night, Bryce Boyer unexpectedly passed away. Bryce's death has stunned the vast community of people who genuinely loved and cared for him. Anyone familiar with Bryce recognized his truly pure soul. He meant so many different things to so many different people. Bryce was always available to talk about anything with friends, from heart-to-heart conversations about life, music, MMA fighting, football, and countless other things. Bryce was a friend who always listened. He could light up any room with joy and laughter with minimal effort. To his high school teammates, Bryce was the fearless all-conference guard who never failed to "fight till the whistle." He had the rare ability to maintain a laser focus on the field, then step off to the sideline and crack jokes with teammates. Bryce's charisma, humor, and wit never faltered despite difficult times in life and on the field. Bryce was the sociable student with friends in every classroom he stepped foot in. His intelligence, determination, compassion, and countless other qualities allowed him to juggle the responsibilities of being a student-athlete, friend, brother, and son during his life. We are devastated to lose him.
