Dear Friends,
Many of you know Catherine Azar through her bodywork with horses over the past nearly 25 years. And some of you know that in more recent years she has expanded her work to small animals and people with the use of her
“Biofeedback” technology. Catherine has made herself available to us tirelessly, selflessly, and sometimes at the drop of a hat. She has willingly donated her time and expertise when someone was in need and was unable to pay. And she has literally helped lives to thrive with her work, both with the animals and with people.
Horses and dogs have been able to perform at peak ability because of Catherine's work, and this also holds true for the humans connected to these animals.
Now Catherine needs our help. The Covid 19 pandemic has impacted all of us, and we have had to try to live our lives in a new reality. Catherine's work came to an abrupt halt in the middle of March. She went home expecting to be able to get the benefits of loans, grants, government assistance, and most of all the self-employment unemployment that was due to her, just like other people in her position.
Through no fault of her own and due to a broken system and a glitch/mistake in the unemployment website, Catherine has been denied all weeks of the benefits due to her. And while she is still doing everything in her power to rectify this situation, it has put her ability to stay in her house in serious and imminent jeopardy. She has applied for the forgivable loans that have gone to others, and she is trying to work with local pandemic support to be able to stay where
she is. She is also now working with an organization to help her with the legal ramifications of her current situation.
Catherine has reached out to all avenues, and now needs our help. She has been hesitant to do this on her own, so we are putting together this campaign for her. Being the person to always offer her help to others and not wanting to ask for help in return, it is now time to be there for Catherine. And being high risk in her own right due to past and current heath issues and age, Catherine can't go back into high risk situations. So this limits employment options as well.
The amount of money that we are requesting would allow Catherine to stay in her home currently and give her a chance to find a more suitable and affordable situation given our new reality. Catherine needs some time to work all of this out, and her current circumstances are not allowing at all for this time. So we are asking for your generosity to match what hers has been and can continue to be given a chance to find a workable solution and new reality for herself. Any amount is helpful, but please consider the benefits to the greater community and world in giving to this cause. We thank you!
