We are Huddersfield to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid which is a very small NGO based as it says... in Huddersfield ,Yorkshire.

In Feb 2022 Ukraine was invaded by Russia and just like most of Europe, we filled vans and set off to Ukraine to do our bit and helped them survive the onslaught.

Nearly 4 years on, we are still delivering humanitarian aid to those that need it.

We have built up an amazing network of trusted contacts in Ukraine.

And "trusted" being the most important word.

We aim to deliver the aid personally about every 13 weeks or so(as funds dictate), and as vans just aren't cost effective in the amount of aid we take, in the last 3 years we have found leasing a 44 ft truck and driver to be the most economical way to get there as each truck load can carry the volume and weight of 26 van loads in one go.

The truck and driver costs us a minimum of £4000 to get there, and depending what cities we deliver to once inside Ukraine, (as its huuuuuge), it can be anything up to £6000.

We have put a target of £24000 as this will get us a minimum of 4 runs there and a maximum of 6 runs there.

As a point of interest, most of the individuals and. Small organisations such as ourselves have had to finish supporting Ukraine as they have simply run out of funds.

Very fortunately we try and fundraise at every opportunity also my wife and I joined a global charity called Rotary who have been unbelievable in supporting us.

As long as we can fund the transport to deliver aid...we will continue to do so.
