My mother passed away on Valentines day due to complications from an infection. Since October she was in and out of the hospital fighting an infection that slowly started to consume her body and eventually her life. It was the most hardest thing for me to watch. She was a true fighter to the end and I could see in her spirit that she was struggling to stop and let go. I am relieved to share that being by her side, while she took her last breath, was humbling and a moment I will never forget. This women gave me life and I was there when her life came to an end.
I share with an open and honest heart that my mother was truly an angel. She faced so many battles in her life including disabilities associated with being deaf, heart complications, major stroke, and went temporarily blind in both eyes. Despite all of the struggles and pain, she always came out with a smile and a big heart. She never pitied herself for her own challenges. Through all of her pain, she remained full of love. Always smiled at everyone and gave her unconditional love. She was a selfless women who gave her all and never asked for anything in return. I am blessed and grateful to have her as my mother. Without her influence, I wouldn't be nearly half of the women I am today. She gave me strength in my own struggles and pain.
Unfortunately, my mother didn't have much money or any policies to help pay for her own funeral. It's always hard to ask for help but in these times we have put aside our pride. We'd appreciate anything that would bring us closer to our goal. Through so much, we would like to give my mother a funeral that she deserves.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
