Help Save Rocky's Leg!

Rocky is a 1-year-old German Shepherd male that was hit by a car in mid-July. It was over a week before his family took him to a veterinary clinic, but by that time his dislocated hip was unable to be successfully put back into place and surgical intervention was now required. The family was unable to afford the cost of surgery and was going to have Rocky euthanized instead, but thanks to the efforts of many people his story was shared and his family surrendered him so that someone else could have the opportunity to help save him. His FHO surgery is a simple one and should result in a successful outcome and save his leg! He is now in our care and has been the sweetest boy!

The surgery for Rocky will be scheduled as soon as we can find a clinic able to get him in. He needs the surgery as soon as possible. He is in pain but being very brave about it. The estimated cost of surgery is between $2,500 - $5,000 and will depend on whether or not he ends up needing a plate screwed into the bone as well. They will not know that until they do the surgery.

Any money raised above and beyond the surgery and medical/care cost will be donated to Becky's Animal Rescue Network to be put towards other similar situations. Full disclosure and copies of the medical expenses will be shared with the rescue for accountability to those who want to help Rocky as much as we do.
