Dear friends and family,

I'm taking a leap of faith and moving back to the Southwest to hopefully, finally, get back on my feet after nearly nine years of instability. I'm asking for help with moving expenses. I'm this close to making the move happen. Anything you can spare is deeply appreciated.

My goal has been to settle in a place where I can finish my PhD and then spend the next year or two working before I land the job I've been working toward within a community that feels welcoming and inclusive. Las Cruces, NM and the writers that live and work there are a really good fit. For me, it feels like going home. It's a place where I can both grow as a writer and human and give back to those who are coming up behind me. I want to build something for local students that writers coming from anywhere and everywhere can also come and be a part of.

Thanks to those who've already given and shared the link. I'm going to keep at it until we reach our goal of covering the UHaul, gas money, and utility deposits. Help me build something for those who need it.
