This is our sister Jen, this past summer Doctors found a shadow on a routine x-ray she had done. Fast-forward two months and we were told it was a tumour in her liver and she is inoperable. Last week we learned that she has intraheptic cholangiocarcinoma, a fancy word for a rare form of bile duct cancer.

This type of cancer is known to be aggressive, and there is no cure only treatment.

Jen has always been a strong, independent woman, so we know that she is going to be strong during this battle. However, this battle is going to take away most of her independence. She will not be able to work and this is going to put stress on her family.

There will be bills to pay and other expenses, such as travel, lodging, and food as some of her treatments will not be done in her city.

We want Jen to be able to concentrate on healing, and on spending time with her family. We don’t want her to worry about how the bills will get paid. We don’t know how long she will have to fight and we understand times are tough for everyone, however, anything you give is a great help.
