On August 27, 2021 Jade and Jason Cummings' daughter Zoey was diagnosed with leukemia. Zoey, who's a normally bright and outgoing 5 year old, was feeling ill and went in for check up. Covid was ruled out, but her symptoms worsened and after more testing Jade and Jason received the call that all parents fear: their beautiful 5 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia.

Zoey is currently in the hospital undergoing more tests and is already receiving her first round of chemo. Jade and Jason and are now faced with new challenges as parents in terms of balancing life in the hospital with the normal demands of home life, including caring for their two sons - Ezekiel, 7, and 5 month-old Xander.

Jason is a combat veteran who served in the Marine Corps. He would never ask for help, even though we all know that this family has a long road ahead of them.
