Manochamal

We gather today to honor the life of Jai Prasad Adhikari, born on September 17th, 1945, in Surey, Bhutan. He passed away on January 28th, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

 Jai lived a life filled with love, devotion, and kindness. He resided in Beldangi II for 18 years, where he touched the lives of many with his warmth and compassion. In 2008, he moved to the United States, where he continued to share his spirit of generosity with everyone he met.

 As a devoted father to 16 children—10 daughters and 6 sons—Jai’s legacy is one of unwavering care and strength. He treated all with respect and equality, whether adult or child, and his playful, kind nature will be remembered by all who knew him. 

 In his memory, a GoFundMe page has been created to support his family, especially those who are far away and unable to contribute as they would like.

 Jai may no longer be with us, but his love, kindness, and the lessons he imparted will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
