Help a queer indigenous couple keep shelter in the AZ heat!

UPDATE: we have made it for July's rent via selling items, now waiting upon how the upcoming August looks, but we are hopeful.

Hi, we are a queer, autistic, disabled indigenous american couple with a cat in one of the hottest places in AZ. One of us has been the sole breadwinner until Summer break had begun, since that job was within a school as a paraprofessional.

Over a month prior to the end of that school year (May) we had been searching for jobs to prepare for the cut off in income, and keep steady income until August.

We overestimated the ease of even landing a position at fast food chains.

Nothing has been accepting either of us, dual applying to multiple jobs with no response, rejections, even after interviews had been proceeded with.

We would be appreciative if any aid is given, as resources in our local area have been emptied, halted, or we do not meet the requirements for.

One of us takes life-saving HRT that also combats endometriosis symptoms by preventing monthly cycles, which will be near impossible to continue safely once homeless (even with the current situation regarding HRT federally.) Medically there is also concern for MCAS and a protruding painful hernia (hEDs), both of which have been avoided in treatment due to: Lack of insurance during employment, and now energy being spent both for searching employment, digging for any resources, and preparing the apartment for the potential of vacating.

The heat in our area averages 115degrees F during the summer, which is what we will face by the end of July if we do not make July's rent.

We are hoping to keep our cat sheltered with us too, as any other option is vague to us at the moment due to animal shelters being the only option for us.

Our goal is 1400$, but it is set automatically to at least achieve 800 as a goal.

The fundings sourced from here will be used solely for our shelter, hopefully to keep the current apartment we have, but may be used for hotel/motels if possible.

We are preparing for any potential outcome, such as getting rid of many personal items to achieve the necessary amount, which has been draining, but we trust community to come through to any extent especially if our efforts fall through.
