Our dear friend and co-worker Melody (Hyun Kyoung) is only 36 years old. Many of you know her as a kind and dedicated nurse who gives her all to care for others. In 2021, she faced a life-threatening battle with colon cancer and, with incredible strength and courage, she survived.

Today, she is facing a new challenge: thyroid cancer. Despite everything she has already overcome, she now must prepare for another surgery. Because of her situation, she will need to stop working here in the United States and travel to Korea, where her family lives, to receive surgery and treatment.

This decision, while necessary for her health, comes with tremendous financial and emotional burdens:

• Loss of income while she steps away from work as a nurse

• Surgery and medical treatment costs

• Travel expenses to Korea and daily living needs during recovery

We want to ease some of this weight for her so she can focus on healing. Every contribution—no matter the size—will go directly toward helping cover her medical care, travel, and essential needs while she recovers surrounded by her family.
