Hello, my name is Skeeter Griffin. I have a great love for children, and have spent the majority of my life coaching ball. Although, I've been fighting heart disease since the age of 27, Being able to coach & touch the lives of the youth as well as having them touch my life has been one of my fondest memories. I love hearing, "Coach Skeeter!" I have always tried to teach kids to never give up, and try their hardest. That's the attitude I've taken with this battle in my fight against cancer. March of this year, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy, and had a major setback due to 2 spots being found on my brain. At this time the Doctors can't diagnose the problem on my brain due to the fact that I have a defibrillator, which doesn't allow me to have a MRI. I recently was airlifted to ST. Thomas due to a brain hemorrhage. I now have to have around the clock care which has caused my wife to be out of work. This hurt us, as we depend on my wife's income. My cancer is a fast progressing cancer, and has been a battle since diagnosed in March. At this time the Doctors are unsure if the brain bleed is due to the Cancer spreading to my brain, or if I'm having hemorrhagic
strokes. First and foremost, I want to ask for your prayers, and if you feel in your heart that you can help me and my family in this difficult time, it would be greatly appreciated. The money will be used for supplies needed in my home care, transportation to and from appointments, chemotherapy, co-pays, and experimental treatments deemed necessary. Help me with this fight, as I go through the toughest battle I've ever had in my life! Going in "ONE MORE ROUND" with God in my corner!!
