Support Katie's Journey to Recovery

My wonderful daughter Katie is a loving, caring, beautiful person. Katie is a wife to Andrew and mother to two small children: Levi, who is a very active 2-year-old, and Talia, who is only one month old. Katie had a difficult pregnancy, with Talia arriving early due to pre-eclampsia. Thankfully, Talia is perfectly healthy. Luckily, Katie is a NICU RN, so she has great experience in dealing with tiny babies.

However, Katie has had additional symptoms, and just last week, the doctors suspected she had a stroke. After a visit to the ER and multiple tests, including a CT scan and MRI, Katie has been diagnosed with a brainstem lesion. Katie is meeting with her medical team this week to discuss her prognosis and treatment plan, which may include radiation and chemotherapy. The road ahead is unclear, but we do know Katie needs a lot of help and a lot of prayers.

She’ll likely be on leave from her RN duties for a while as she goes through treatments and will need caregivers, transportation, childcare, help with bills and so much more that we aren’t even aware of yet. Anything you can donate to help her during this difficult journey is greatly appreciated.
