Support for Baby Kai

Dear friends,

Maddie, Justin, and Baby Kai need our help! On July 21st Kai endured his first of many seizures and was transported to Valley Children’s Hospital for over-night observation. Since that date he has suffered 13 seizures in total with his most recent taking place on Thursday morning.

A recent visit with the neurologist resulted in the ordering of an MRI and second EEG in hopes of finding some answers. These tests will be scheduled within the next few weeks. In the meantime Kai has been put on anti-convulsant medication to help decrease the number of seizures that are occurring.

Continuous seizures over the past month have contributed to multiple trips to Valley Children’s Hospital in Fresno as well as visits to his pediatrician in Merced. With ambulance transports, hospital stays, and both parents being out of work to monitor him day and night, expenses are piling up. We hope that this financial support can help his parents take the time they need to continue to meet with doctors and specialists who are investigating the root cause of his seizures.

Kai has been such a trooper throughout this past month and continues to greet his family and friends with his infectious dimpled smile.
