Help Melanie Heal

Hello, I'm Melanie's daughter Ashley. I'm starting this page in response to requests from folks on how they can support our mom through this challenging time. As many of you know, Melanie is an incredibly loving, kind, and selfless person. She has a talent for making people feel loved, seen, and special. She knows all the neighborhood dogs, and most of their humans Growing up, she opened our tiny home to friends in need of a place to stay, always making room for them. She taught us to love radically, and demonstrated it over and over again. She has always been an incredibly hard worker, and understandable finds it difficult to ask for help. For the foreseeable future, mom will be on leave from work. Long term disability will begin after 90 days, but until that time, she could use support. Us kids are working hard to help her get the house ready for her changing needs. Funds raised through this platform will go towards replacing her wages for the next couple months, and to pay specifically for us to help transform her bathtub downstairs into a more accessible shower. Lastly, it will help cover medical care costs, which are changing as mom figures out insurance at this time. Thanks so much for your continual support and encouragement.
