In need of your help to get back on my feet

As you all know I recently had a knee replacement June 18th. My short term disability has ended and I am unable to return to work until August 19th because my job requires that I complete a training class again. Disability checks were not nearly enough to cover expenses for myself and my son which had already caused me to fall behind and now that has stopped. Unable to apply for unemployment because my Human Resources department informed me that it would be denied because I’m still an employee of the tollway. I’m lost!!! Trying to recover and stressing about keeping a roof over  my head. Trying to get healthy is leading me to become homeless. Any thing that anyone can assist me with will be greatly appreciated.
