Post chemo dental work help for mom!

We are Melissa, Victor, and Derek…
Our mom, Dr. Suzy Natividad, means the world to us. During the pandemic we were all hit with terrible news that she had developed breast cancer. After a year of treatment that included chemotherapy, removing lymph nodes, and having over 20 drug infusions, she successfully recovered!
However, a couple of months ago we learned that due to the chemotherapy she has developed early stages of osteoporosis and will require future infusions in order to treat it. Because of this, she was forced to do any and all dental work needed that would require bone healing before undergoing these infusions. After receiving her dental assessment, they determined that she would need to have 12 teeth extracted AND have multiple implants along with bone grafts to rebuild her teeth. She was left with no choice but to do all of this extensive dental work all at once. We’re happy to report that her procedure was successful and in 6 months they will finalize the final parts of her new smile that we all love to see so much.
The hard part in all of this was hearing the bill… her dental insurance only picked up approximately $2,000 of the $24,000 that it costs to do this.
My mother has been a teacher and now works with the El Paso Independent School District in managing Special Education students by creating and supervising young students’ education plans around their disabilities that leave them home bound or hospitalized. She helps develop tailored lesson plans and supervises the schools and teachers within her district to ensure children with disabilities receive the individualized education they need to live a better life. She has given so much to so many, and today we are humbly asking our friends and family for a small favor to help ease the financial burden of her dental treatments. As a public servant she’s worked so hard for very little, but one thing you should know about our mom is that filling up her heart was way more important to her quality of life than filling up her bank account. As a Doctor In Education, she has been the epitome of selflessness, compassion, and public servant.
We as her kids have been VERY blessed to have had our mother for our entire lives and we are doing the best we can to help her in this time of need. We thank you for your consideration!
