Sometimes something is so unexpected, that no one is prepared for it.
No one expected Amber Miller- mother of four- at age 39, to have a massive stroke the morning after Thanksgiving.
On November, 28, 2015, Amber was found by her daughter, on the floor unresponsive, after suffering a massive stroke to the left side of her brain. After calling 911 she was brought into the emergency room at Florida Hospital Flagler in Palm Coast Florida. She is now in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). When a stroke accours, patients can be given a drug to help disperse the clot if they are brought to the hospital with in 3 hours of the stroke. But since we have no idea when the stroke accoured, docters where unable to give her the treatment, and the clot in her brain will have to disperse on it's own. The right side of her body is paralized, and she is unable to speak. It will be months to years, through rehab and physical therapy, before she will be able to have any mobillity in her right side.
Amber is a single mother of four children, Luis, 19, Carisa, 17, Miguel, 14, and Elizabeth, 9. Just one week before her stroke, Amber, her mother, and three of her children, had moved from Jacksonville to a new house in Palm Coast. In these last chaotic days, we have realised that it will become a major problem to pay rent, car payments, utilities, groceries, etc. The whole family is trying as hard as possible to make ends meets, but the truth of the matter is that it will be nearly impossible with Amber in the Hospital and not working.
Just rent alone for the next three months will be over $5,000, not including utilities, car payments, groceries, dog food, or anything. Any donations will go directly towards living expences for her family.
Amber was loved my many, and anyone who knows her knows that she has always been there for anyone in need, and now it is time to help her and her family in return. It will take years to get through this, but if anyone can, it's Amber.
Even if you can't afford a monetary donation, please send a prayer, or a word of encouagment, and spread the word of her circumstance. Amber is an amazing, bad-ass, caring person who has nothing to offer to the world but love, so let's all pitch in and get her on the road to a safe and fast recovery! We love you Amber!!
