We are raising money for the Buer family: Allie, a devoted single mom, and her three beautiful girls — Addison (10), Ava (4), and Amira (10 months).

In June, Allie noticed some concerning changes in her four-year-old daughter, Ava, and took her to the doctor. After countless tests and bloodwork, she received the devastating news no parent ever wants to hear: Ava was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia.

Just days later, brave little Ava began chemotherapy. In the months since, she has endured more than most of us could imagine — port surgery, multiple blood transfusions, biopsies, spinal taps, and bone marrow procedures. Despite her young age, Ava has faced each challenge with incredible strength and courage.

At a recent check-up, Ava complained of a severe headache, which led doctors to run additional scans. Thank God they did — the tests revealed a blood clot on her brain. Thankfully, it was caught early, and her medical team has quickly adjusted her treatment plan.

Allie has been by Ava’s side every step of the way, juggling hospital stays and caring for her other two daughters. But the reality is that this journey has taken a financial toll. As a single mother, Allie recently lost her job due to the amount of time she needed to be with Ava, and without the protections of FMLA, she is now left without income to cover rent, utilities, groceries, and daily expenses — all while navigating overwhelming medical needs.
