Support a Family in Need After a Tough Year

We are a family of five (well, 7 because we count the doggies) that has had a rough year and could use a little help getting through it. About this time last year, we had to close the company we co-owned with our landlord due to licensing issues, and instead of a new lease agreement, he decided to evict us. As we were going through the process of finding a new place, our 11-year-old dog Apollo showed signs he had developed Degenerative Myelopathy, losing all his functions in the rear area, and unfortunately, we had to put him down.

In December, we did find a new place, and with the help of the amazing family at Trinity Assembly in Clay, NY, we were able to get everything together and moved in. We were able to remain in our children's general school district; however, we live in a large district and were given special permission to keep our elementary and middle schooler in their current schools for the remainder of the year. They have to be driven to and from school as we moved out of their bus routes. Over the last 2 months, Bekah had to have foot surgery, removing her from work for an extended time period. We had just enough in savings and from our tax return to make it until Shawn starts working the first week in April and Bekah is able to get back to her regular work schedule.

We had it all figured out.

Then the transmission on our 2020 Dodge Caravan went, our only car that we were not smart enough to get an extended warranty on.

This leads us to here. We went from the family that lived to help others to the family that really needs the help. It will cost us around $8,000 to get the transmission fixed, with a warranty, and have a rental while it gets done. We know above all else that God will provide, and we are hoping this may be one of the ways he will do so. We appreciate and thank everyone for whatever they can give and for the continued prayers and showing of support through all this.
