Rez Dog Rescue

Hi, my name is Alana and I am a physical therapist on the Navajo Nation. There are many stray animals roaming the street/land. A few of the doctors coordinate rescue and care for stray dogs/cats in the area, and have been doing so for several years (the others don’t know that I’ve created this page). Care includes neuter/spay, food, fostering, medication/vaccinations and driving several hours to transfer dogs to adoption organizations. Occasionally there are surgical needs. One of our current puppies has a broken femur and will require surgery to either repair the fracture, or amputate the leg.

 

With your donations, we will be able to repair little Sally’s (the pup on the right in the photo) broken leg so she can grow up with four legs, instead of three. The surgery costs about $6,000. I will be able to provide the post-surgical PT care. The remaining $4,000 requested will be used to feed, neuter/spay, vaccinate etc. many other dogs, puppies and cats who need homes and love.
