Hi we are, Dulain and Onaya Kulatunga and as you’ve heard there is a lot of people struggling due to the floods in Sri Lanka.

We have come together, to unite our comunity to bridge the gap between inaccessible needs and those affected by the floods. This is not the time to sympathise and MOVE ON but to PAUSE, and really display acts of empathy by helping Sri Lankans who have lost everythig in a matter of 24 hours. Let's not wait till it's our house, our parents, family to act, lets be the chage we want to see.

We are hoping to raise $1000 aud to help purchase goods such as food and clothing for people in need that have lost their homes and even the ability to purchase clean water. Due to worsened irrigation systems, access to clean water has become quite difficult making the only safe way to drink water is through purchased water bottles. We are hoping to raise some funds ourselves to buy some goods and distribute them to people in need.

A little bit about us and who we are;

I am Dulain Kulatunga, I am based in Melbourne and came to Sri Lanka for a holiday and see a lot of people in need for urgent help. I am currently a student at Monash studying commerce and finance. Although I am based in australia, my motherland Sri Lanka, holds a speacial place in my heart. With the ongoing crisis, and seeing how much our people are suffering, this is the least we could do for our people as a nation.

I'm Onaya Kulatunga, born and bread in Sri Lanka, it is absolutely heartbreaking to see the loss our people are facing with the ongoing flood crisis. I work as an HR proffessional, youth advocate and currently Majoring in International Business at Edith Cowan University, Sri Lanka Campus. In terms of my work with communities, I work through my NGO Hope Gallery that focuses on CHILD SAFETY, to identify communities in need, and ensure all donations reach the right places to those who need it the most.
