Synopsis:
After growing up in a cult, Jack Napier, had a troubled upbringing that didn’t produce much for him at all except for a long rap sheet. Found on the inside of a mental hospital, once again, Jack doesn’t do much to help Detective Beck with his investigation. Jack may never make it out again, but is he to blame or is his mental disorder the one holding him inside this box?
Blurb:
What started with an idea by Josh to film a scene with the talented friends in his personal social network has grown into an aspiring production with a recruited group of skilled creative talent. This project is an opportunity for us to advance our skills individually and organizationally in producing a grassroots film project from start to finish.
We aim to shed light on the struggles of living with a mental illness. Being an advocate for groups who suffer both silently and openly brings greater meaning to art. As Josh mentioned in the video, this is an issue that hits close to home. Through his performance, Josh will capture what it means to deal with something beyond your control from within your body with the intention of allowing the audience to empathize with the character of Jack, thus, allowing them to understand that mental illness and mental health have too often been dismissed and overlooked.
This project will serve as a stepping stone for future creative endeavors. It will be produced through a collaboration between OverProductive with the help of other media partners. OverProductive is a diverse organizational network of resources, skilled individuals and opportunities aimed at facilitating the visions of overproductive dreamers pursuing entertainment, creative and athletic ventures.
