Please Help Elvis

This is Elvis,

We've had Elvis for about two months. His previous owners threw all his belongings in the bin and abandoned him.
He is the father of our other cats kitten so we decided to take him on as our own. He settled straight in! Elvis and his son are inseparable!

On Friday the 18th of October Elvis came back home with hardly any teeth.. his bottom lip hanging from his face and severe damage to his mouth.

On the vets initial assessment they thought he would only need a few stitches...however, whilst under anaesthetic they discovered one side of his jaw was completely gone and the other side had been split into 3 pieces.

Being as we have only had him for 2 months we were were given the dreaded option of putting him to sleep as the vet did not know what the final outcome would be and the cost of his treatments.

We chose to make him comfortable and see what happened in the next 24hrs.

When Elvis came back round from the anaesthetic the vets were amazed at how well he had responded! He was still so very much himself and still is!
Whilst under anaesthetic a tube was fitted so he can be fed as he cannot use his mouth to eat and his remaining jaw was wired back together.

Elvis had to have another operation on the 21st of October as the first one was not enough, some tissue had died, this had to be removed, however the vets are hopeful with ongoing treatment, he can lead a normal life.

Whilst a car accident can't totally be out ruled. It is highly unlikely as the rest of his body is intact and unharmed, which is unusual. It is thought this could be deliberate, that someone inflicted these injuries onto him.
We gave him that chance of a new home where he is VERY much loved then this has happened. It's so tragic many tears have been shed.

He is still himself personality wise and age is very much on his side. He is still showing his cheeky side and giving us constant cuddles, even after all this.

His treatment is on going and the vets are hopeful the outcome will be positive but as you can Imagine the vet bills aren't cheap.

We have already put over a thousand pounds on credit cards to save his life and are now beginning to struggle.
Any help to try and keep Elvis alive will be HUGELY appreciated!

Where your money will go:

Helping to pay any additional vets bills which are likely to occur.

Towards Elvis' liquid food's that he has to be tube fed for around 6 weeks. This alone is going to cost £480.
