I am not one to ask for help! I’ve always been able to hustle a side job or something when times got tough.

I served in Afghanistan and worked in law enforcement. I’ve always been the tough one.

I recently had a heart attack and had to have open heart surgery to graft five bypasses in my heart. I am not an unhealthy person. It’s mainly hereditary.

As a result of this operation, I am off work for two to three months. The VA will cover the surgery, however they do not help with everyday ordinary expenses.

I’ve never been able to have a lot of savings so I’m on my own. I still have rent and bills to pay.

there are programs I am trying for, but who knows how long they will take. my family and I are growing closer during this time , however bills don’t care about how I feel.

Anything you’re willing to share. I am extremely grateful for. I’ve never been so vulnerable, just writing this makes me uncomfortable.
