We are reaching out on behalf of Tracy Evans and Adam Morgan, to ask for your kindness and support during an unimaginably difficult time for their family.
Their beautiful baby girl, Isabelle was born in June this year. On Tuesday, 12th August, at just 10 weeks old, she was rushed to A&E at the Grange Hospital in Newport with a swollen abdomen. She was quickly transferred to Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where doctors discovered a serious issue with her liver.
On Sunday, 17th August, their worst fears were confirmed when Isabelle was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer affecting her chest, liver, bones, skin, lymph nodes and thyroid.
Isabelle was in Birmingham Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for 6 weeks under the care of a specialist team due to serious complications arising from the neuroblastoma which unfortunately caused Lung and kidney failure as well as multiple infections. She has already undergone two rounds of chemotherapy whilst in Birmingham Children’s Hospital showing incredible strength for someone so tiny. Isabelle fought hard in intensive care and became stable enough to move her to the Noah’s ark Hospital in Cardiff for ongoing treatment.
The impact on the family:
Tracy and Adam have been living at Ronald McDonald House, close to the hospital, so they can be by Isabelle’s side around the clock. Even now in Cardiff one of them never leaves her bedside, while the other rests and recoups in between caring for their four-year-old son, Zach, who has just started full-time school in Newport.
While Tracy and Adam do everything they can to make sure Zach feels loved and supported, they are deeply worried about the emotional toll this is taking on him, as he navigates this confusing and upsetting time.
Why they need help:
With both Tracy and Adam unable to work at the moment due to Isabelle’s intensive care needs, their household income has been drastically reduced. They are now facing financial strain on top of the immense emotional stress they are already
No parent should have to worry about money while their child is fighting for her life.
How you can make a difference:
Any donation; no matter how small; will help ease the financial pressure on Tracy and Adam, allowing them to focus entirely on supporting Isabelle and Zach through this heartbreaking journey.
If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this page can make a huge difference by reaching others who may be able to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read Isabelle’s story and for standing with this wonderful family during the most challenging moment of their lives.
