Anthony Mack Needs Our Help.
Hello Family, Friends and all who are just being introduced to Derrick Anthony Mack Jr.
Anyone who has met, known or loved Anthony knows that he is a true-blue kind of person. A little about Anthony. Anthony has 3 siblings, a devoted mother, Caroline, and a host of family members and friends. To know Anthony is to love Anthony! He has a big personality and is often found hugging, encouraging, laughing or supporting his family, friends and anyone around him who's in need. If there is something to be done, he is THE FIRST to say, "I got you" which translates to: "I'm here for you to lend a hand and help make it happen." If he is needed...HE IS THERE!
Anthony lives in Charlotte, NC and recently graduated from NC A&T State University. Anthony began working for Atrium Health not long after graduating. On a daily basis, at Atrium, Anthony is known for how he sows into the lives of patients by providing emotional support and resources to help make each patient's medical care as stress free and smooth as possible. Anthony has done exceptionally well in a role like this because he has a huge heart for PEOPLE! It's in his DNA. Anthony also began Graduate School recently and is studying to receive his Master’s Degree in Health Sciences and Healthcare Leadership so that he can continue to make a significant difference in the lives of patients and their loved ones in the most challenging of times.
In mid September 2024, Anthony was feeling under the weather and a trip to the ER uncovered something unexpected. After having an MRI, Anthony was diagnosed with a brain tumor in his cerebellum that must be removed. We are incredibly grateful that it is benign!!! It must, however, be removed so that it does not cause any further cognitive or mobility complications in the near future. He is set to have surgery on the morning of December 17th, 2024.
Here is where your help would be greatly appreciated. First, we need your prayers for a seamless and flawless tumor removal and healing process. Second, we'd like you to consider a donation of any size to offset the cost of medical bills, recovery and other expenses associated with a surgery of this magnitude. Anthony will have to take time off from work during the 2-3-month recovery period and our goal is to alleviate mounting expenses that may exacerbate stress and hinder his healing process. I'm certain everyone can imagine or understand what the stress of insurmountable expenses might feel like.
Third, you can also help by sharing Anthony's story with your network of family and friends to help increase the number of people that might consider this appeal for a donation of any size. Your help with this is deeply appreciated! By sharing Anthony's story and or donating to this cause, you will be a part of this young man's journey as he strives to continue living a meaningful life. We also want you to know that your donation WILL NOT be used for anything frivolous and will go directly toward Anthony's treatment and recovery. We know how hard everyone works for their livelihood and would never take any gift for granted. Thank you for considering all of Anthony's countless acts of kindness both great and small. If you've never had an opportunity to meet Anthony, thank you for sowing into his life and for helping him to get back to work and graduate school so he can continue to lead a life filled with tremendous purpose.
Thank you for being a part of the great news we will share about a full recovery! Life takes a village. God bless you always for your prayers and heart. May it be returned to you a hundred-fold.
Jeremiah 17:14: "Heal me, Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise."
Sincerely, Anthony's Family.
