Meet Grizzly, my 8 year old perfect gentleman, who is now in the ER in critical condition. I lost my mom on Friday and had to go cross country, CA to NC, USA, 3000 miles away to bury her. Grizzly has had occasional seizures on and off since he was young, but has otherwise been healthy. I left him with friends from church to go to the funeral. Grizzly suddenly took ill, got lethargic, had bloody poop that quickly turned to diarrhea, not eating, trouble breathing, and excessive thirst. He was taken to the ER Hospital by church friends where his insulin levels were off the charts, he was severly dehydrated, and had to be put on oxygen and fluids immediately. The vet said he either had to be admitted or put to sleep. I literally just buried my mom and this has knocked me down flat. I am not sure how I could take it if he had to be put to sleep with me so far away. I paid for the first day's treatment of $6600 by dividing it between two credit cards. I'm not sure how long it will take me to pay this off, but the next bill will be due tonight for the next 24 hours. Anything will help and will be most greatly appreciated. Grizzly is my family, and I love him greatly. He is such a perfect gentleman and the very best dog I have ever had in my entire life.
