Do you believe in Easter miracles?
Around 5pm Easter evening, our little Shih Tzu Bow had a seizure and was rushed to the ER Veterinary Hospital in critical condition. Due to his condition the doctors told us that it was time to say our goodbyes and let our little boy go. While in the room sobbing saying our goodbyes, we noticed he would blink his little eyes when we would call his name. My dad immediately tried to give him some water and although he couldn’t lift his little head he still managed to take out his tongue. That was the sigh we needed and decided we would do everything we could to fight for him.
We rushed to call the doctors and notified them that we would not allow him to go down without a fight. It was a long night but our little warrior fought like a champ and eventually started moving his little head and was able to stand up for a little bit.
The doctors and nurses said it was a miracle that he was moving and responding.
We were later told that he contracted a very serious UTI which caused his kidney and liver to start to fail. The doctors informed us that he may have a portosystemic shunt in his liver which may later require surgery. We currently are waiting on the lab results and hoping that he will be okay.
After a long exhausting and emotionally draining 24 hour stay, he was stable and we were finally able to bring our little boy home to his twin brother and two sisters.
With this unforeseen emergency, we would kindly like to ask you for your financial support to help us cover Bow’s medical treatment. Any donations, big or small, would help our family in a huge way so we can make sure our little one can get the best care he needs.
