Help Ryan Beat Fucking Cancer

Mid last year, I was experiencing pain and discomfort from what I thought was a hemorrhoid. After too many months of over the counter treatment, without results, I went to the doctor to find out I had a polyp. After biopsy and testing I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer, but in my case it is internal. As a relatively healthy guy in my mid 30's this was a bit shocking and devastating thing to hear. But I am no stranger to medical conditions that can effect one's life (I am also type 1 diabetic).
The good news is that it was caught early enough to get reliable and viable treatment to try to beat this thing. Treatment has already started and consists of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy. The projection for these is six weeks of radiation every weekday and chemo on the first and fifth week for four days. Thankfully my specific type of cancer is rare enough that this treatment has a 90-95% success rate.
I am no stranger to hard challenges, struggles, or adversity. Two years ago, I was the victim of a hate crime. I was assaulted with a knife within blocks of my house. After multiple surgeries and the hard work of the doctors and nurses at Zuckerberg General, I survived. But now I need to ask for your help.
In a time that is challenging for all of us, I am lucky and grateful to have insurance covering some of my costs. As a bartender, this global pandemic has affected me financially. Due to the absolutely necessary Shelter in Place orders, I have not been earning any income for over two months. And unfortunately while I have filed for unemployment, I was denied and cannot get in contact with anyone to figure out why I do not qualify. Due to this illness, I am unable to find any other means of income. I am asking for your financial support. I realize that this is a trying time for many, I ask you please give only what you can/if you can. The money will go towards the continually growing medical bills.
