Steve and his 8 siblings were raised by a single mother. She always taught them to be nice to everyone and he has always lived by that motto. It has guided him throughout his life. He proudly served in The United States Marine Corps and later Steve married Regina.
He lost his lower arm in a mining accident, he worked hard to overcome this especially when others doubted his ability. He discovered his passion for fishing and learned everything he could by watching and talking to others. To many he is considered an ambassador of the beach.
Steve is always ready and willing to guide others who are passionate about fishing. Steve and Regina have always been active in their community. They help Neighbors after major storms and hurricanes and provide food for fundraisers.
In 2019 they purchased a BBQ trailer and have been using it to make some additional income as well as a way to continue helping their community in times of need.
Recently, the location that Steve and Regina have been using for their well-established businesses, Right on 12 and Bandit BBQ, was sold. They only have a short amount of time to figure out their next step so they can continue to be a part of the Buxton community.
Whenever our family thinks of the Outer Banks and Buxton, it has always included a trip to Right on 12. We get fishing tips from Steve as well as finding out where the best fishing spots are. While we talked and enjoyed his company, we would also enjoy he delicious BBQ. We can't imagine a trip to Buxton and it not including Right on 12 and the Bandit.
