Basil is a little black cat who was found alone on the streets of Dubai in heartbreaking condition. He was severely emaciated, covered in lice and ticks, and so weak he could barely stand without wobbling. He also showed worrying neurological symptoms.

Basil has an open wound on the side of his face caused by a badly infected tooth, with pus draining from the wound. Tests have also revealed that he is FIV positive and suffering from severe anaemia.

Despite everything he has endured, Basil is incredibly friendly and affectionate. He still leans in for love and attention from anyone willing to give it.

He is now receiving urgent veterinary care, but the cost of treatment is already significant and will continue to rise as he stabilises and undergoes further tests and procedures.

All funds raised will go directly toward Basil’s veterinary care, including treatment for his infection, medications, diagnostics, and the ongoing care he needs to recover.
