Back in March, 2020 when the world was struck with ever changing news of Covid 19, I started a project called #thefrontstepsproject in my community. We raised over $20,000 for local food banks here in Airdrie, Cochrane and Calgary, Alberta.
As school is now starting and we are going back to school or now taking on the online/homeschooling, I have decided to start #thestepforwardproject !
As a local photographer and a parent to my own children, I want to once again come out into the community and document our community as you go out and enter a whole new way of school for our children.
I will be offering free mini sessions for your children. We can do a back to school photo with signage or even just a nice portrait of your children, as I highly doubt that there will be regular school pictures this year.
Starting today, I am offering to take five minute "Step Forward School Portraits" for Calgary and Airdrie residents.
After your quick session, I will email you the digital file of your portraits. In exchange, I am asking you to make a good faith donation to the Airdrie Food Bank through this GoFundMe Campaign.
I will be posting these images on FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM using the hashtag, #thestepforwardproject. Please share these posts. Let's spread the word.
The purpose of this project is to bring us together and make our children smile when they may feel uncertain "Stepping Forward" in this new NORMAL. I aim to highlight the faces of our children as they are take on something that we have never dealt with and bring light to them in seeing that we are all working together to get back into our everyday lives in a new way!
My name is Amber Holt and I am a newborn and family photographer in Calgary ad Airdrie, Alberta area. For the next few weeks I will be offering "School Photo Portraits" in Calgary and Airdrie.
