Prayers for William

William Kenneth Coleman  made his appearance in the world 5 weeks early.  Mandy had already been to the hospital the week before with contractions and luckily they were able to stop them and give her a shot to help his lungs develop more. His due date is October 15th.

They went to the hospital around midnight on September 8th because she had started contractions again. They were able to stop them, but she started contracting again early in the morning. The contractions were really stressing the baby and the doctor said the baby needed to come. He was born September 9th at 4:55 PM weighing 5 pounds 5 ounces. Pretty good weight for being so early, but his lungs aren’t fully developed. He was straining and working so hard to breathe, he was immediately put on oxygen.

The doctors said with these premature babies if they start to decline they decline very quickly. The life flight team took him by ground ambulance to a nearby NICU. They have said to plan on him being in the NICU until October 12th. Please pray for this sweet, little boy. If you can help at all, I know they will be so appreciative of any amount.  Please keep William and his sweet little family in your prayers.
