Catherine Iwen Chen moved to the states in 1997 from Taiwan, and soon married and started a family of her own on the coast of Maine. On December 31, 2000, Catherine was blessed with a baby boy Wenter.
Recently, as a single mother, she held two jobs at once.
December 2015 Catherine had the unfortunate news of having breast cancer. Surgery was performed February 1st. The long journey of fighting cancer has begun with tremendous support from local friends, as immediate family is so far away.
Medical bills are significant, as one can imagine. Additionally, the timing is such that 2 years of insurance deductibles are invoked.
