Francisco (Sysco) Sierra just turned 18 years old a few weeks ago and should be graduating from Morgan City High School in less than 2 months. He is a brother, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, boyfriend, student, athlete, mentor, and so much more.
On April 8, 2016, Sysco was involved in a horrible vehicle collision, causing multiple life-threatening injuries. He had to be airlifted from the accident scene to the hospital where he has already had several surguries and requires 24-hour care in the ICU. In the accident, he sustained severe head trauma, a ruptured spleen, broken ribs, a broken jaw, and damage to several vertabae.
Sysco is currently in a coma but is now stable. His recovery so far has been slow, but promising. He is a fighter and we are all praying that he will recover fully in time. Even after Sysco wakes up, he is facing a long road to recovery.
From his emergency and critical care, to long term recovery and therapy, the medical bills will be enormous. Thankfully, his insurance will cover most but of the medical bills. Our goal is to raise enough money to take the financial burdens off of Sysco and his grandparents so they can focus on his full and healthy recovery.
