Our dad, Lenny Jackson is everything a person could ask for. To say he is hardworking is an understatement, he is the hardest working man I know. He has raised my siblings and I to be kind, caring, loving and compassionate. He has shown us what it’s like to be a family. To live in the moment and to create memories and traditions for stories to tell. To laugh and enjoy the little things. To never go to bed angry at one another and to always forgive one another. He has shown us what a husband, father, pop pop, friend, brother and uncle is. For this, we are thankful, as it has given us the standards from which to build and instill those morals within our own relationships and children.

In the beginning of September, our dad heard the news no one ever wants to hear, he was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma Lung Cancer, to which our family is completely devastated. With him being a self-employed carpenter and with his diagnosis, he is unable to work. With our mom having to take time off of work herself, this makes the finances very difficult to endure. He is our hero and the rock to our family. His fight is our fight.
