A Roof for Jackie

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
My sister-in-law, Jackie Clothier, is a single mom living in Reedley, Ca. She has two daughters. Sarahjane is 13 years old and Jamie Rose is 11 years old. Jackie is 48 years old and has suffered two separate heart attacks. Her first heart attack was in 2008 and almost took her life. She was actually shocked back to life by EMTs using a difibrillator. We were told if she lives she will more than likely have serious brain damage and possibly be in an unresponsive state. By God's grace many prayers, she recovered fully with no permanent brain damage. After her recovery, Jackie was given a surgically implanted internal defibrillator. Jackie then got a job working as a medical office assistant, but she was forced to quit her job in 2013  after she suffered another heart attack.  Unfortunately, the father of Jackie's two daughters is also permanently disabled because of a stroke, and this has intensified her stress and anxiety for providing for her children. She is currently seeking a permanent disability claim with the state of California, but this issue has not been resolved. Jackie has been able to keep her home in Reedley due in large part to the generosity of family and friends. Unfortunately, the roof of her home failed two months ago in the middle of a storm, and multiple large leaks developed in several different places. One of the worst leaks is in her front living room, where the ceiling was badly damaged. The insurance company covered the indoor repairs, but they would not help cover the roof repairs. During an attempt to repair the roof, a roofing contractor told Jackie that the roof would have to be replaced because it was beyond repair. Currently, the roof is weathering the storms because of a temporary plastic cover stapled over the worst leaks. We are hoping to get through the spring with these plastic tarps covering the worst spots.  We are asking anyone who knows Jackie or who reads this story to give from your heart in order for her to address this dire need. Jackie has endured a lot of physical, emotional, and financial hardship over the last ten years, but has a found a way to raise her daughters in a safe and nurturing environment while putting her faith and trust in God. However, she cannot surmount this latest obstacle without outside support. May God bless anyone who is willing and able to assist her in her time of need. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Tom Neufeld
