Zoe's Adoption

Zoe has never met her biological Father. Terry came into Zoe's life when she turned 5 years old. She started calling him "Daddy" shortly after. Terry has been a parental support, financially and emotionally, for the past 7 years (she's 12 yrs old now.) It has been Zoe's prayer for this past 7 years to be a "Guthrie." We've been exploring the costs of adoption for quite some time but are still unable to afford it. Who would think it would be so expensive to adopt your own daughter you've been raising and providing for the past several years? Zoe does not know we have taken this initiative towards making the adoption a reality; we wanted to surprise her so if you see her, please don't mention it to her.
