Support Lainey's Medical Journey

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I’m sharing this on behalf of my sister Hannah, her partner Brandon, and their beautiful baby girl, Lainey, who was born on July 23rd, 2025.

Lainey’s birth was complicated and required an emergency C-section, a frightening start for her and her parents. From the moment she was born, it was immediately clear that something wasn’t quite right, but no one knew exactly what. Over the first few weeks of her life, she saw multiple pediatricians and specialists, each running tests and searching for answers. It was an incredibly stressful and uncertain time for Hannah and Brandon as they watched their newborn go through appointment after appointment—when they should have been spending those precious early days simply enjoying their new baby girl.

Finally, after two long weeks of waiting for genetic testing results, doctors determined that Lainey has Muenke Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that affects how the bones in the skull grow and fuse. This can impact hearing, vision, and developmental milestones as she grows. Soon after, Lainey was also diagnosed with an anomalous right coronary artery, a rare heart condition that requires close monitoring and may need surgical repair in the future.

Lainey’s first surgery, an endoscopic strip craniectomy, is scheduled for October 23rd. This procedure will allow her skull to expand properly and give her brain the room it needs to grow. Following surgery, Lainey will need to wear a custom helmet for up to 12 months to help shape her skull as it heals. Even after this, she will likely require future surgeries, including a fronto-orbital advancement around the age of 2–3 years old to further support her development and protect her brain.

These diagnoses mean that Lainey’s first few months of life have already been filled with visits to craniofacial, neurology, cardiology, and genetics specialists. Each appointment brings new information, new care plans, and often long drives to regional hospitals. Through it all, Lainey has shown incredible strength, and Hannah and Brandon have remained steadfast in providing her the best possible care.

This GoFundMe has been created to help relieve some of the financial stress that comes with managing complex medical needs. Donations will go toward:

  • Hospital charges from Lainey’s birth and initial care
  • Medical and surgical expenses not covered by insurance or out of network
  • Travel for specialist visits and surgeries
  • Therapy and developmental support
  • Everyday expenses while Hannah and Brandon focus on caring for Lainey

Our family deeply appreciates any support—whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping Lainey in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of kindness helps lighten the load and means more than words can say.

Thank you for standing with Lainey and our family as she continues to grow, heal, and thrive.
