On the night of September 26th, 2025, my life took an unexpected turn. I slipped in the shower and hit my head hard on the lip of the bathtub. The pain was instant and blinding, and I remember feeling completely disoriented. I tried to shake it off, but the next morning, I woke up with the worst headache I’ve ever experienced — it felt like my skull was pulsing. I could barely keep my eyes open.
I went to the hospital, and after running a CT scan, the doctors found swelling in my brain. They told me it should go down with time and sent me home with medication to manage the pain. I wanted to believe that things would get better.
But not even two weeks later, I had a minor seizure. My family rushed me back to the hospital, terrified. The doctors ran another scan — this time, not only was the swelling still there, but they also found a small amount of fluid in my brain. Hearing those words sent a chill through me. My family and I didn’t know what to expect. My son cried so hard, and seeing his tears broke me inside — he’s my whole world.
The doctors decided to keep me overnight for observation. The next morning, they told me I could go home again, but warned that if I suffered another seizure, I might need surgical treatment. I was terrified — the idea of brain surgery shook me to my core.
Thankfully, I haven’t had another seizure since, but I still live with daily headaches and the emotional weight of everything that happened. On top of it all, I’m now facing a large hospital bill that I simply can’t manage on my own.
This experience has humbled me and reminded me of how fragile life can be. I’m so grateful to still be here, to hold my son, to heal little by little. But I’m also asking, with a heavy heart, for financial assistance to help cover my medical expenses.
Any help — no matter how small — would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and for your compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
