The End of an Era

The Board of Environmental Health is charging me $3,000 in an administrative citation for burning 2 couches last year. I've been fighting it for 5 months but just lost my appeal on April 22nd. I have 30 days to come up with the money or they start adding late fees.

I understand to some burning couches probably sounds absolutely crazy, but to many of us this had become a persisting cultural tradition. Sadly, this is a tradition I can no longer afford to continue. I am uncertain about the future of parties at my house while I deal with this issue.

I have never charged cover for these parties and always footed the bill personally, but this is more than I can afford.
