Hello,

My name is Josh, and I am the partner to Rachel. We have been together for six wonderful years, and one of our shared dreams has always been to have children and start a family of our own.

Recently, after several tests due to Rachel experiencing years of discomfort, we received some upsetting news. Rachel has been diagnosed with endometriosis and has a very low egg count of 4.7. For context, the normal egg count for a 25-year-old is between 15-55. She also has a very low antral follicle count of 6.

Given these circumstances, our best chance of having children in the future is to freeze Rachel’s eggs now. Our doctor has advised that Rachel must go through 3 rounds of egg collection as not all eggs collected will fertilise or later survive to become embryos. This procedure comes with a significant cost—£19,000 and £7,000 for medication.

While we understand this is a considerable amount, it represents a crucial step for us to achieve our dream of starting a family.

In May 2025, myself, Rachel and some family and friends are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge. This involves hiking the largest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales all within 24 hours.

We are reaching out to friends, family, and the community for support. Any donation, no matter how small, would be immensely appreciated and would help us get closer to our goal.
