Grieving the Loss of Demetrious Houanche Together
Donation protected
Demetrious Houanche, affectionately known as “Dee”, was taken too soon from this world on May 23rd 2023 in a tragic train accident. His family and loved ones are left stunned, still processing the loss of such a beloved young man and so we are humbly asking for your help in raising funds for his funeral arrangements and to assist his mother Bridget during this heart breaking time. Demetrious was a graduate of Alfred University, with a vibrant spirit and big dreams for himself as he found his way in this world. Those who had the privilege of knowing Dee knew him to be an incredibly charismatic, loving and captivating person. Dee was someone who radiated positive energy, easily lifting the spirit of any room he entered and filling it with his infectious laughter. When you encountered Dee you were immediately greeted with an energy that made you feel comfortable, heard, and appreciated. It was no wonder why Dee was a magnet for people, and of course, endless good times. As a friend, Dee exceeded all expectations: he was loyal and supportive with such a giving heart. He was a man of principle with a strong moral compass, working to live his life to the fullest and encouraging those around him to do the same. The naturally fearless way about him meant he would have your back without hesitation, and believe in you more than you might have believed in yourself. Because of this, Dee fought countless battles in defense of others like the leader he was. He never let circumstances or excuses stop him from doing what he knew was right. Demetrious was his mother Bridget’s rock, her only son, and had an immeasurable deep love for her and his sister, Louisa. His loss will leave an indelible mark on their lives and the lives of all who knew him. Those who he treated as his family, regardless of blood relation, are mourning his senseless departure. If Demetrious, or this horrific tragedy has touched you or your life in any way, we are not only appreciative of the outpour of compassion of prayers, and are asking that you please help by donating what you can to ease some of the financial burden during this difficult time. We will never forget you Dee, love you for eternity, Fahdem, Stanley and PJ
