Fix A Pelvis, Keep Alina Alive!!!

Alina is an 8 month old Miniature Pinscher that was surrendered to the Bastrop County Animal Shelter. She was brought in with tape around her mouth, and the owners said that she had not moved or eaten in two days. She was obviously injured.  Unfortunately, the shelter does not have medical funds in their budget, no veterinarian on staff, and injured animals are the first to have to be put down if someone can't provide their treatment.
The shelter let us take her to Bastrop Vet for pain management, x-rays and an evaluation. The x-rays show that she has a fracture at the pubic symphisis and at both sacroiliac joints. Basically, her pelvis is broken on both sides and down the middle. The vet theorized that she may have been stepped on. Fortunately, I, Christine Hayes Hardy, will medically foster is we can raise the funds to fix her pelvis. She will need an orthopedic surgery that includes at least two plates and costs at least $3000. This is the only way that she will ever be able to walk. The $3240 is the amount that includes the surgery and the Go Fund Me fee.
