My name is Dalaney Goodyear. I am 18 years old and I am from Denver Colorado, but I have been living at the YWAM (Youth With A Mission) base in San Jose, Costa Rica for the past 2 months participating in the Discipleship Training School.
YWAM is a worldwide nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside young people as they learn to "know God" and then sending them out to "make Him known" around the world.
The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to help students understand God more deeply, live more like Jesus and identify unique gifts and purpose to use in missions. DTS is an intensive 5 month training course split into two parts, lecture phase and field assignment, preparing students to answer the call to "Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations…" (Matthew 28:19)
The lecture phase exists of 12 weeks of classroom teaching and community living where we welcome a different speaker each week to teach in-depth on a specific topic. In addition to classroom learning, we are provided with a wide range of ministry opportunities in areas such as service projects, mercy ministry and evangelism.
Following our lecture phase is our 8 week field assignment. Teams will be sent out to put into practice the principles learned during the lecture phase and to serve others in many different ways. We know that God has called us to go out into the nations, so as He leads we will follow.
This December my team of 18 students and 6 leaders are heading out to Germany and Poland for our outreach (field assignment). We are beyong excited that God has called us to be His hands and feet in these places and we cannot wait to see what is in store for us there!
In order to get to Germany and Poland, each student and leader must raise $3400. I would love to have your support in prayer as we set out on this mission as well as financial support as you feel called. We know that the Lord will provide, and we are thankful that He uses others to help us do this!

Thank you so much! God bless!
