Home Again With NEW Hope!

Last year I was diagnosed with Stage 4-B uterine cancer. My doctor held my hand as he gave me my diagnosis and staging,  I burst into tears and told him I was doing well with my positivity until he told me THAT.  You have every right to cry, he told me, but then get back to your positivity!!  You must believe and have faith!  I DO.  I had surgery, followed by chemotherapy, and my oncologist gave me hope for the future.  Statistics say this diagnosis brings with it a 15% chance of being here in 5 years.  My aim to be in that 15%!!

This year, a mammogram revealed a nodule, which was diagnosed as malignant.  Surgery once again, followed by chemotherapy, which I just completed and am about to begin radiation.  I have faith in my doctors, and God, that we are getting back to the "other side of wellness", and look forward to getting back to living life as normal.  The photo you see is of me, with two of my 3 adult children a few years ago.  A photo right now would show me nearly bald again, as I was last year, but still smiling:)  I hold onto hope!!

Several years ago my husband lost his job with a company he had been with for well over 17 years due to corporate restructuring.  He took a new job, and we moved back to our home state and bought a house.  That position ended after 9 months when his new employer filed bankruptcy and left the state.  My husband losing  his job and income twice in two years caused tremendous financial stress, and in the midst of the mortgage and economy fallout,  our home went into foreclosure.  Having suffered a house fire some years ago, losing our home again was painful, but we survived.    Our savings were depleted by personal and family crises, and each time we feel close to being able to buy a home of our own, "Life" happens.  My dream is to raise enough money to put down on an affordable home that we have found that will give me a feeling of permanence.....a place to call our own after 48 years - a home to share with our children and grandchildren, and a haven of hope for the future.   We are currently renting a home where our landlord just raised our rent, and only extended our lease for the next 6 months.

I thank you SO MUCH, in advance for the possibility of making my dream of getting well again, in  a home of our own,  come true.   In my cancer battle, positivity has been my mantra.  I hold onto hope!  Will you help me? I am  so trusting this dream will come true!
