Emily - our "Fighter Jett"

Emily Jett, daughter of Sharon (McKee) and Caleb Jett, has been a fighter since her premature birth resulting in 103 days in the NICU.  After she turned 5 months old and was healthy and strong enough, Emily battled through heart surgery.  Emily’s fight has not been easy, and recently she has been faced with another battle.  On January 27, Emily was diagnosed with RSV and flown via helicopter to Barnes St. Louis Children’s Hospital.  During her up and down fight with RSV, Emily also developed pneumonia.  She is currently on a ventilator and sedation medicines to keep her comfortable.  

The medical team at Children’s Hospital has been amazing!  Friends and family have supported the Jett family, including their other daughter, Lauren, through this tough time in Emily’s life.  We are keeping Emily, Caleb, Sharon, and Lauren in our thoughts and prayers.  

As you well know, the Jett family is truly one of the most compassionate, sharing, loving, extraordinary families I know.  They would do anything for anyone without hesitation and never ask for anything in return.  

Sharon and Caleb have had to spend time away from their other daughter, as well as their teaching careers to support and give love to Emily.  If you are willing and able to make a contribution to help offset the costs of hospital bills and her very first helicopter ride; it would be greatly appreciated.
