I, Nicki Turner, from Los Angeles, California, set up this GoFundMe page for a transgender woman name Bree and her brother Brian Walkings. My relationship to them is that they’re the homeless community members that I’ve been helping obtain housing and other resources to combat their life lived homelessness. The goal of the GoFundMe was give Bree and her brother financial resources to end life long homelessness. The money will be used secure permanent housing. At this time Bree is aware that I will find her secured housing on her behalf. She is requesting apartment in Las Vegas, because she can have a 2bed/2 bath for roughly $800. The funds would also pay the rent for a minimum of 6 advance months; obtain move in essentials; and personal abs medical care as needed. If the funds permits, she expressed getting a car. If she is unable to be in sound mind and body, the money will go into a trust for her until she able to express the capability to do so. Unfortunately she doesn’t have family besides her brother that can look after her. I’ve vowed to help facilitate getting her the care she needs to be in a place to live adequately healthy on her own. This is Bree and Brian Walkings. They’re are born here in Los Angeles and have been in foster care since the age 9 and 6. They’re journey of survival has a long list of challenges. As a collective, they’ve been in over 50 foster homes. The constant rejection of the world and society didnt leave room for hope. Although Brian was able to graduate high school and attend some college, although his transgender sister on the other hand wasn’t able to. At the time extreme outside forces didn’t present an opportunity to facilitate getting an education. The experience of Bree being a transgender woman without structure of any family support lead her to prostitution and battling addiction. For there whole life no one believes in them, until one day they met Faith. Faith has given us hope for change for the better and I know now that our lives has changed forever.
