Michael's Service Trip to India
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Michael Babbish and I am involved in the Art of Living Foundation. This is a non-profit, multi-national organization dedicated to humanitarian, educational, and personal development and has a presence in over 150 countries. Millions have benefitted from the work of the Art of Living Foundation, and the organization's numbers keep growing.
The branch of Art of Living based in colleges and universities worldwide is known as YES Plus. Each year a group of students from the YES Plus program embark on a Seva project that helps underpriviledged people in India. "Seva" means service, and that is the purpose of this yearly endeavor- to help those in need.
I have received the high honor of being selected for the YES Plus Seva project this year, and I have created this site to gather funds for the trip. The donations received through this site will cover the trip itself ($1500) and also the plane ticket to India (approx. $1500).
This year's Seva project includes:
-Assisting local farmers in rural areas in organic farming methods.
-Educating poverty-stricken areas of sanitation practices.
-Enhancing women's rights through self-help courses.
-Teaching low-income families how to use modern technology.
-Teaching stress-reducing and mood-elevating techniques to people so they can live happier lives.
More information can be found at www.sevatrip.org
Thank you very much for your consideration and your generosity. This trip will not only benefit me but also the many people and villages that the project will assist. Please watch some of the videos on the website listed above to see the difference you can make in the world.
If you can do so, please also consider donating to the other wonderful participants in this year's Seva project.
Thank you and God bless,
Mike Babbish
